About Us
Here at RVA Cheer Warriors, Inc., we are driven to do our part in making a difference in the lives of the youth. RVA Cheer Warriors, Inc. was born out of a commitment to stop passing over the real issues that plague our youth, and deal with them head on. We have set out to educate the youth about the benefits of health and wellness.
We provide a wide range of fitness training via cheering and enrichment activities to empower youth to live healthy lifestyles and become productive citizens.

Our Founder & Executive Director
Loretta Watson is the founder and executive director of RVA Cheer Warriors, Inc. Her passion for helping youth pursue healthy lifestyles stems back to 1990, when she started working as a middle school cheer coach. Mrs. Watson is a retired educator with over 30 years of experience serving as a middle school science teacher and a head cheer coach for Richmond City Public Schools (RPS). She has worked as a cheer coach at several middle schools throughout RPS to include Newsome Park Middle, Onslow Minnis Middle, East End Middle, Mosby Middle and Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle.

In 2020, the coronavirus (COVID-19) hit and many young people were confined, isolated and unable to attend school, which made it difficult for kids to interact with one another face to face. This motivated her to start RVA Cheer Warriors, Inc. Mrs. Watson wanted to utilize cheering and fitness training activities to motivate young people to maintain good health, set goals for the future, work together as a team, persevere through adversities and equip them with the skills they need to navigate the real world.

Through RVA Cheer Warriors, Inc., Mrs. Watson has been able to provide community exposure and opportunities for youth to participate in numerous cheering competitions, resulting in unforgettable memories. The RVA Cheer Warriors, Inc. cheer squad has been extremely successful in their performance in past cheering competitions. The team has produced an enormous number of trophies!
